PTFE anti-dripping agents are key additives for thermoplastics, with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the core component. In the early days, the production technology of PTFE anti-dripping agents was monopolized by international giants, and the domestic market was fully dependent on imports. Over the past decade, Puxin Polymer has taken the lead in promoting import substitution. It built its production base in 2018. By 2022, Puxin accounted for 25% of China’s total PTFE anti-dripping agent capacity, becoming the fastest-growing manufacturer in China. In the same year, the company settled in Putuo District, Shanghai, further consolidating its industrial layout. By 2023, domestic manufacturers represented by Puxin had occupied nearly half of the global production capacity, reshaping the global industrial landscape.

 

 

Puxin has built its core competitiveness through high-intensity R&D investment. The company holds 23 authorized invention patents, 5 utility model patents, and 9 invention patents pending.

 

In collaboration with Hangzhou Normal University, Puxin has developed high-gloss PTFE anti-dripping agents via emulsion polymerization, becoming the largest domestic manufacturer in mass production. Its products can fully replace similar imported products from South Korea, breaking the long-term import dependence in the high-end market.

 

 

With performance reaching international advanced levels, Puxin’s products have successfully entered the supply chains of well-known domestic and foreign enterprises including LG Chem, Kumho Sunny, and Kingfa Science and Technology. They are widely applied in high-end fields such as new energy vehicles and electronic appliances, making Puxin an indispensable player in the global PTFE anti-dripping agent industry chain.

 

 

In 2023, the global PTFE anti-dripping agent capacity reached 13,900 tons, of which China accounted for 57.6%. Puxin currently has an annual capacity of 2,000 tons, with an additional 3,000 tons under construction, firmly ranking among the top domestic manufacturers. It competes with international giants on the global stage and continues to expand its market influence.
